Korea's Island Dokdo

Dokdo, the easternmost territory of Korea, is very meaningful to Koreans. It is mainly composed of two islets and the total area is about 187,450 square meters. Today, Dokdo remains as a place of heated disputation in between Korea and Japan. Although, there are strong historical evidence and records that Dokdo is indisputably Korean territory since the 6th Century, Japan now insists that Dokdo is Japanese territory called Takeshima. The purpose of this blog is to spread the awareness of Dokdo.

Thank you for your support!

Hello! Korea's Island Dokdo have successfully completed the first presentation of Bibimbap at the Middlebrook on 1st of May at 5 pm.

5 minutes before the presentation:)

Around 50 people of the resident attended this presentation.

In the beginning of the presentation we defined our group and ask for support and interest about Dokdo.

At the end of the presentation, we provided bibimbap to the resident.

The most exciting part was to hear that they craved for having bibimbap for their daily meal at their dorm.

It was great honor for us to serve them food and have an opportunity to present the Korean culture to Americans.

Korean Project 1: Bibimbob at Middlebrook!!!! (05.01.10)

Anyone who are interested in Korean Food and culture are all welcomed to come and join us on 1st of May at Middlebrook hall at 5:00 pm~

We are going to introduce Korean traditional dish called Bibimbab and demonstrate how to cook.

This event is organized by the student organization called Korea's Island Dokdo.

The main purpose of this event is for the fundraising for the organization to be able to let more people know about the correct information about Dokdo.

Hope to see all students, staffs, and professors on the event day!
